This was started in September 2000, from a concept I stole [with permission] from Tin. The idea was to have a fairly cute Syaoran And Touya Learn To Get Along oneshot, maybe 20 to 30K long.
Ho ho ha ha ha he he ho ho ho. Ahem. 30K in to the fic, I realise dimly there might be ... issues. 50K in and still counting, I knew I had a problem. I managed to bring the thing more or less to a close at 76K [although I still feel like I could have done more, the very thought of having more than 80K on ONE PART of a fic gave me hives], knowing that I was going to have to do at least one story in this continuity. Well, I thought, trilogies are nice, why don't we make it a trilogy. The second part of the trilogy, at my usual snailesque pace, took me from when I started steady work on it in, I believe, January or Febuary 2001 to May 17th, 2001. The third part of the trilogy finished relatively quickly. o_o I finished it on June 24th, 2001, which is something of a record, especially considering I had to scrap most of it and restart, due to what could be politely called 'serious plotting issues' and what I mostly called something unprintable.
